** what differentiates one archive from another… between the term of ‘obsolescent’ or ‘hall of fame’? ** the institution, the collection or the individual work itself?
** why artist’s year and place of birth are so important but not curator’s, critic’s, art writer’s? **

10-12-09
- second meeting at Moderna Galerija, this time with the museum’s director. of course, just like all other “museum of modern art” in the world…. everything has to be on ‘their terms’.
- Martin dropped a line about MoTA in BKK
- Robertina had a video workshop
- no commercial meeting today… i was online but they didn’t…
- after sleeping on a broken bed for a month, today i’ve got the new bed from MoTA… which i has to assemble it ‘myself’.

08-12-09
- the ticket was changed… i’ll be back home later than former schedule

- Had a meeting with Neja from MoTA together with Robertina discussed about the place for the ‘event’ and also the date for the lecture.
24-11-09
- went to electronic shop to pick up ATiny45.
- got a Slovenia mobile number. and for the record, the stupid iPhone is locked… so i cannot use anything else but Swedish sim card.
- my BOOTCAMP was worth its installation for the first time… because there’s an instant software to ‘write’ microchip via ATmega168 (Arduino) for Window!
- we succeed in building the ’spider’ hardware to program the ATiny45. but first of course, i had to make a silly mistake by mistaking the ‘top’ from the ‘bottom’.
23-11-09
- Spent a lot of emotional un-necessity with banking, money transference and German bill. and more than anything, my poor friends also got to be involved, i’m just a magnet of the complication… sorry for bothering you all.
- finalise the texts for distribution.
- we played around with Nodebox software which was one of the possible visualisation method. we managed to connect it with Wiimote and sent data received from the IR.
- we connected Wiimote with nodebox via OSC.
22-11-09
- got bad news about the German incident. so i felt and urgent to ‘get thing done’, so i went to Klub K4 to check out the space as a possible venue for the piece. coincidentally, the was a drag-show night. i understood nothing but the seeing a Slovenian porn star with her augmented boobs and lips is some kind of annoying. (since that night, i couldn’t stop spotting the augmented boobs on the billboards).
21-11-09

18-11-09
- started to work on the project, Luka suggested us to use Wii-remote to sensor the tag which will be embeded with LED.
- we found an open-source software to use Wii-mote to sensor the IR light pen for the interactive whiteboard.
- with the software, we play around with LEDs and Wii-mote. and it seems that wiimote is the best with IR LED.
- good pun from Luka… “this is an LFID Tag instead of RFID” (Light Frequency Identification not Radio Frequency Identification)
17-11-09
- had a meeting with people from Skuc gallery.
- the application festival continued. people were typing, printing, signing and delivering the applications.

it is so easy to romanticising and image of the runner. it is lively, energetic and ambitious – something that is moving forward, something that belongs to fighters and winners.
but what if the act is not about running ‘to’ but running ‘away’… so who is the actor? the coward or the loser?
how far the runner needs to run when the thing he/she wants to get rid of is his/herself?
another room? another side of the town? another part of the country or another half of the world?
can the runner really stop running? especially when life is not the movie on Hallmark channel and the lost and consolation do not resolve and appear between the commercial brakes.
now it is too exhausted… maybe somebody should help in ‘tripping up’.

currently, i’m in the “code week” in a villa on the coast of west Sweden. The colleagues are nice but we’re not at all similar (i’m the different one, ok?). the only common point between me and them is the interest in “technology”. but within the big umbrella terms of technology… they are more on the instrumental advocates while i’m the humanistic one.
i found this image on someone’s blog.. the oddity of this painting (Interlude, 1963) addresses the question.. no, it is not what John Koch the painter intentionally asserted to.
what i see is the ‘white’ servant serving morning tea to the ‘black mistress’… as it is a manifesto to all of the previous classical paintings that involves the same subjects.
but the true aspect from the painter is much more simpler – the painter’s wife offering a cup of tea to a nude model.
yes, we perceive only what we want to see.

Interlude, 1963 (John Kock)

today i spent 5 hours in the meetings… one after another. it’s not that i don’t enjoy it, they were very interesting but too much of the information.
in the world that information is everything, how much of it that we can take in. how much we have to know in order to accomplish our tasks. to claim of not-knowing is not a choice, it’s not even an excuse.
information is always supremacy, the one who know more is always win, that’s how the history has been written. we are forced to ‘know’ not only to create biological advantage as knowing is not always about an ability of individual to solve problems but also the ‘fittest’ of social context. yes, what i mean is the law enforces people to know… as we know that it is invalidate in terms of legal for one to claim ‘not-knowing the law’.
+++
now i’m fixing a ipod, another information pool that need to be submerged in.
oh, and please… when i mean ‘law’, it’s not the law-of-attraction.

i am trying to be a grown up.
but what does it mean to be one?
for me, it is an ability to stand repetition and boredom.
moving is easy but ’staying’ is hard… aseverything will be exciting by the newness.
and i’ve already taken the first step by made the decision to stay.
but does that mean to be common? like most of people?
yes, maybe…
so what would be my second step?
it would be to stop being insanely rational. to be more true about how i feel and dare to go with my emotion. why using the reason is not a grown up? because for me it’s easier – it is one of things that i have control over it. it is just hard to be that courageous.
